1) Given data:

Area of square = 100 cm square

A=a^2
\begin{gathered} a^2=100 \\ a=10\operatorname{cm} \end{gathered}

The perimeter of square is,

\begin{gathered} P=4a \\ P=4*10 \\ P=40\operatorname{cm} \end{gathered}

2) Given data:

Perimeter of square = 116 cm

P=4a
\begin{gathered} 4a=116 \\ a=29 \end{gathered}

The area os square is,

\begin{gathered} A=a^2 \\ A=29*29 \\ A=841\operatorname{cm}\text{ square} \end{gathered}
