Answer:

Area of the parallelogram is 3.69 ft²

Step-by-step Explanation:

We have,

  • A parallelogram in shape of a poster.
  • And we need to find the area of parallelogram.

For solving,

  • The parallelogram is divided in 3 parts. 2 triangles and one rectangle.
  • We will find all of there areas separately and then will add it up to have the final area of parallelogram.

Area of triangles:

= ½ × base × height

= ½ × 0.5 × 1.5

= 0.5 × 0.75

= 0.375 ft²

Since there are to triangles of same size,

= 2 × 0.375

= 0.75 ft²

Area of rectangle:

= Length × breadth

= 1.9 × 1.5

= 2.85 ft²

Final area of parallelogram:

= Area of both triangles + area of rectangle

= 0.75 + 2.85

= 3.60 ft²
