Answer:

Explanation:

There are 28, 30, 29, 26, 31, and 30 students in a school's six Algebra 1 classes.

Find the mean and median.

As you may know,

The mean is the total of the numbers divided by how many numbers there are

1- So, to find the mean,

We can simply add all the given numbers

28+30+29+26+31+30

=174

Then we divide it by how many numbers we have,

There are six numbers, so we divide 174 by 6.

174/6=29

The mean is 29

2- To find the median,

To find the median of the given data set, we first need to sort the data in ascending order: 26, 28, 29, 30, 30, 31. The median is the middle value of the sorted data set. Since there are an even number of data points, the median is the average of the two middle values, which are 30 and 30.

Therefore, the median is 30.
