This is simple:

First of all, let us take the first equation:

= 4x - 2y = 8

Put x = 0

= 4 ( 0) - 2 y = 8

= 0 - 2y = 8

= -2y = 8

= y = 8/-2

= y = - 4

So, the solution will be ( 0, -4)

For second equation,

= y = ½ x + 2

Put x = 0

= y = ½ × 0 + 2

= y = 0 + 2

= y = 2

So, the solution will be ( 0, 2 ).

  • Now plot these points on the graph.

Note*- I have taken x = 0 for easy calculation, you can take any number of your choice.
