Answer:

y = x - 6

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given slope m = 1 , then

y = x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c, substitute the point (- 2, - 8 ) for x and y in the partial equation

- 8 = - 2 + c ( add 2 to both sides )

- 6 = c

y = x - 6 ← equation of line
