Answer:

y = 2x - 1 is one such equation.

Explanation:

First convert the equation to slope intercept form

y = mx + c where m = the slope and c is a constant.

-4x + 2y = 8

2y = 4x + 8

Divide through by 2:

y = 2x + 4

So, the required equation, to be parallel, has to have a slope of 2.

Now write the equation is point slope form:

y - y1 = 2(x - x1)

We can make the point be any value :

Let x1 be 3 and y1 = 5:

y - 5 = 2(x - 3)

y = 2x - 6 + 5

y = 2x - 1
