What would the inequality X> -8 look like graphed on a number line

Plot an open hole at -8

Then shade to the right

This will visually show all values larger than -8. The value -8 itself is NOT part of the shaded solution set. The open hole excludes the endpoint. This is due to the lack of "or equal to" in the inequality sign.
