Solving Linear Equations

It should be solution, no solution, or infinite number of solutions. The photo is an example on how it should look like.

1. 6r + 7 = 13 + 7r
2. 7(5a - 4) - 1 = 14 - 8a
3. 4n — 40 = 7(-2n + 2)
4. 4(-8x + 5) = -32x - 26

1. 6r + 7 = 13 + 7r

-6r -6r

7 = 13 + r

-13 -13

-6 = r

One solution

2. 7 (5a - 4) -1 = 14 - 8a

35a - 28 -1 = 14 - 8a

+8a +8a

43a - 29 = 14

29 + 29

43a = 43

Infinite

3. 4n - 40 = 7 (-2n + 2)

4n - 40 = -14n + 14

+40 +40

4n = -14n + 54

+14n +14n

18n = 54

Divide

54/18 = 3

n= 3

One solution

4. 4 ( -8x + 5 ) = -32x - 26

-32x + 20 = -32x - 26

+32x = +32x

20 = - 26

No solution
