Length of the rectangle is twice its width

Let the width be x

Length would be 2x

so Perimeter = x + x + 2x + 2x = 48

6x = 48

therefore x = 48/6 = 8 inches

So width = 8 inches

Length = 8 * 2 = 16 inches
