Here BC is the hypotenuse and AB , BC are the 2 other sides , then

BC² = AB² + AC² ( substitute values )

BC² = 18² + 24² = 324 + 576 = 900 ( take square root of both sides )


√(BC^2) =
√(900) , that is

BC = 30 cm
