Why can't water be an element?

O it's mass is 18 grams per mole
it contains too much salt
O it is too abundant
O it's made from two things

Water is a compound made from 2 Hydrogen atoms bonded to 1 Oxygen atom. Therefore it’s chemical formula is H2O. Hydrogen or Oxygen alone would be an element, but when combined, it is a compound.
Hence, water cannot be an element because it is made from two different elements.
