a + b = 6

a - b = 1/3

a + b = 6

a = 6 - b

6 - b - b = 1/3

6 - 2b = 1/3

18 - 6b = 1

6b = 17

b = 17/6

a + b = 6

a + 17/6 = 6

a = 6 - 17/6

a = 36 - 17/6

a = 19/6
