If you're naughty and idle you will sleep in the back kitchen among the black beetles, and be walloped by Mr. Pearce with a broomstick. *

Answer: So from what I've gathered from reading this paragraph it seems that Eliza's nice and willing to help Higgin's to become a proper lady, But it seems that Mr. Pearce is not so nice and will be harsh.
