STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION

because if you follow the DMAS rule which stands for

"Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction,

you will always have to start with the division part of a problem first and then go to the multiply then add and finally subtract

so first we divide 3 with 6 which we got by muitiplying 3x2

and 3 divided by 6 is 0.5. Then we go to the adding part because theres no multiplying in the problem. 5 + 0.5 equals 5.5. And finally we get to subtracting part. Now we have to subtract 2 from 5.5 which give us 3.5
