How do I solve 2/3x-1=-3

first of all you’d add 1 to both sides hence the -1, to get 2/3x=-2. then multiply both sides by the reciprocal of 2/3 which is 3/2. the left cancels out to get x and the right multiplies to get -3. so your answer is x=-3
