The answer would be 32

since the top is 7 and the bottom cutoff is 4 then 7 minus 4 would be 3, which means that you use subtraction

Answer: question 1: 32.0 cm

question 2: 51.0 cm^2

Explanation:

1. This is because you first can add the 7, 3, 4, and 5 together and get 19, but then must add the remaining two sides which can be done by subtracting the 3 from 7 for 4 and adding the 5 and 4 for 9, hopefully this makes sense.

2. for area you multiply the sides together so its easiest to split into 2 parts. so do 4*9 for the larger recatngle and 3*5 for the smaller and add together for 51.0 cm^2
