A produce store offers red and green apples. In one morning they sold 48 apples total. If 20 of the apples they sold were red, what is the ratio of green apples sold to red apples sold?

Answer: 7:5

Explanation:

48(total number of apples) - 20(red apples sold) = 28(green apple sold)

the ratio of green apples to red apples= 28:20

simplify, divide both sides by their greatest common factor, in this case 4

28:20 or 7:5.
