Not sure about the first one but for the second one the answer is 12/13. The third answer is 50/13, you can get this by setting them equal to each other because they’re all the same length.

1.) 5/4y-1=7/3-2
2.) divide both sides by 5/4 to isolate y
3.) add 2 to both sides
4.) divide again to get y=12/13

Answer:

z = 55

\sf AB =(127)/(13)

\sf BC = (2)/(13)

Explanation:

For 1st one:

Since each angle of equilateral triangle is 60°.

So,

(z + 5)° = 60°

z + 5 = 60

Subtract 5 on both sides:

z + 5 - 5 = 60 - 5

z = 55

Therefore, value of z is 55.

For 2nd one:

Since the all sides of equilateral triangle are equal.

So,

AB = AC

Substitute the value

(3)/(2)x + 4 =(1)/(5)x + 9

Simplify it.

(3)/(2)x - (1)/(5)x = 9 - 4

\sf (13)/(10)x =5

Multiply both sides by 10/13.

We get

\sf (13)/(10)x \cdot (10)/(13) =5(10)/(13)

\sf x = (50)/(13)

Now,

\sf AB = (3)/(2) \cdot (50)/(13) + 4 =(127)/(13)

So,

\sf AB =(127)/(13) \textsf{ Or } 9.7692307692307

For the 3rd one:

Since all sides of the equilateral triangle are equal.

So,

AB = AC

Substitute the value

(5)/(4)y-1 =(7)/(3)y - 2

Simplify it.

-1+2 = (7)/(3)y - (5)/(4)y

\sf 1 = ( 7\cdot 4 - 5 \cdot 3 )/(12)y

\sf 1 = (13)/(12)y

Multiply both sides by 12/13.

We get

\sf 1 \cdot (12)/(13) = (13)/(12)y \cdot (12)/(13)

\sf y = (12)/(13)

Now,

\sf AB = AC = BC

So,

\sf BC = AB = (5)/(4) \cdot (12)/(13) -1 = (2)/(13)

Therefore,

\sf BC = (2)/(13)
