What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (0, 5) and has a slope of 1/3 ?

Answer:

y = 1/3x + 5

Explanation

The equation of a line is y=mx+b format

m is slope which is 1/3

the coordinate is 0,5 which just so happens to be our y intercept which is b

so we get our answer as y= 1/3 x + 5
