Garrison has 5.5 gallons of lemonade. He drinks 1/4 of a gallon on Monday and decides to split the remaining lemonade between the next 6 days. How much lemonade will he drink on each of the 6 days?

He will drink 0.875 gallons a day
You find this by first subtracting 0.25 from 5.5 for the quarter gallon he drank. Then you divide the amount left which is 5.25 and divide it by 6 to get an answer of 0.875
