Step(i):-

x - 2y = 8 ..(i)

3x = 19 +4y ..(ii)

By using substitution method

substituting x = 2y +8 in equation (ii)

⇒ 3( 2y +8) = 19 +4y

⇒ 6y +24 = 19 +4y

⇒ 6 y - 4y = 19 - 24

⇒ 2 y = -5


y = (-5)/(2) = -2.5

Step(ii):-

Substitute 'y' = -2.5 in equation (i) , we get

x - 2y = 8

⇒ x - 2(
(-5)/(2)) =8

⇒ x = 8 -5

x = 3

Final answer:-

The solution of the given equations

x = 3 and y =-2.5
