The price of stock A at 9 a.m was $13.23 since then, the price has been increasing at the rate of $0.11 each hour. At noon the price of stock B was $13.98. It begins at the rate of $0.09 each hour. If the two rates continue, in how many hours will the prices

of the two stocks be the same?

To find the number of hours it takes for the prices of stock A and stock B to be the same, we can set up the
equation: 13.23 + 0.11x = 13.98 +
0.09x. Simplifying the equation, we
find that x = 37.5. So, it will take
approximately 37.5 hours for the prices of both stocks to be the same.
