To find:-

  • Distance of player from the board.

Answer:-

We are here given that the horizontal velocity of the dart is 12.4 m/s and it hits a board 0.32m below the point of projection.

We need to find basically here the Range .

Firstly let's calculate the time of flight. In this case it would be ,

=> t_f = √(2h/g)

=> t_f = √(2*0.32/10)

=> t_f = 0.25s

Now range can be calculated as ,

=> R = u × T_f

  • where u is horizontal velocity.

=> R = 12.4m/s * 0.25s

=> R = 3.14m

Henceforth the horizontal distance of the player from the board is 3.14m .
