Explanation:

The shape is composed of a rectangle and a semicircle, then

area of rectangle = 15 × 10 = 150 cm²

The semicircle has a diameter of 10 cm , so radius = 10 ÷ 2 = 5 cm

area of semicircle =
(1)/(2) πr² = 0.5 × π × 5² = 12.5π cm²

area of shape = 150 + 12.5π ≈ 189.3 cm² ( to 1 dec. place )
