Answer:

$67767.44

Explanation:

His salary was x.

His salary was 100% of x.

Then his salary was raised by 7.5%.

Then his salary became 100% of x + 7.5% of x = 107.5% of x.

After the raise, his salary was 1.075x

1.075x = 72850

Divide both sides by 1.075

x = 67767.44

Answer: $67767.44
