width = w

length = l

w = l - 16

area = w*l

(l - 16)*l = 80

l^2 - 16l = 80

l^2 - 16l - 80 = 0

(l + 4)(l - 20) = 0

then length = 20

w = 20 - 16 = 4

the width is 4
