Area = 15 m^2

15 m^2 = L * 3m

3 multiplied by 5 makes 15, therefore 5m is the length

since we know the width we can start with that.

write out the equation so we are able to work backwards,

initially, with the information we have we can put our current numbers into perspective,

3 x L =15

to now find width we will divide Both sides by 3 to get L

(3 x L) / 3 = 15 / 3

however since one side is multiplying by 3 AND dividing by 3, they will cancel and we will left with just L

L = 15 / 3

15/3 = 5

meaning we now know our length

L = 5
