How did Britain colonise North America

Britain colonised North America through a series of expeditions throughout the Northeast coast of modern day United States and modern day Canada. Unlike the French, the British were much more interested in dominating the territory (and the Native Americans that lived there) rather than engage in friendly talks. They engaged in several wars against the Natives to protect their colonies, which eventually led to the raising of taxes and (eventually) the American Revolutionary War.
