Answer:

slope (m) = -3

Explanation:

I order to find the slope given two points on a graph, we are going to use to slope formula:

m = (Y2 - Y1)/(X2-X1), where the points given on the graph are represented as ordered pairs (X1, Y1) and (X2, Y2).

The leftmost point is plotted at -1 on the x-axis, and 2 on the y-axis so its ordered pair is (-1, 2). The rightmost point on the graph is plotted at 1 on the x-axis, and -4 on the y-axis; its ordered pair: (1, -4).

We now plug these ordered pairs into the slope formula and simplify when possible:

m = (-4 - 2)/(1 - (-1)) = (-6)/(1 + 1) = (-6)/(2) = -3

Because, m = -3, the slope of the given line is -3
