PLZZZ HELP What are some reasons why a totalitarian government might take power

and/or control in a country?

Answer:

A totalitarian government might aim to take power because they want to be in control of every aspect of their people's daily lives. They want only their opinions to be accepted, and take out any opposing views. I mainly think that the main reason they do this is to be completely in control. Similar to the USSR, this occurred. There was no individuality in opinions, political beliefs, and freedoms that we have now.
