Two sailboats, A and B set off from the starting position. Boat A travels at a constant velocity of 20 m/s north. Boat B travels south at a constant velocity of 25 m/s south. How far are the two boats from each other after 50 seconds?

(20 (m)/(s) * 50s) + (25 (m)/(s) * 50s) \\ = 1000 + 1250 \\ = 3250m

3250m
