to find the point of intersection , solve the equations of the lines simultaneously.

y = 4x - 3 → (1)

x + y = 11 → (2)

substitute y = 4x + 3 into (2)

x + 4x - 3 = 11

5x - 3 = 11 ( add 3 to both sides )

5x = 14 ( divide both sides by 5 )

x =
(14)/(5) = 2.8

substitute x = 2.8 into (1) and solve for y

y = 4(2.8) - 3 = 11.2 - 3 = 8.2

Point of intersection = (2.8, 8.2 )
