Liam and his twin sister, Lexi, are frosting cupcakes for a school bake sale. Liam frosts 8 vanilla cupcakes and 16 chocolate cupcakes. Lexi has less time, so she only frosts 4 vanilla cupcakes and 8 chocolate cupcakes. At the bake sale, the vanilla cupcakes are more popular than the chocolate ones. Who frosted a greater ratio of vanilla cupcakes to chocolate cupcakes?

Liam's ratio of vanilla to chocolate is 8:16 which reduces to 1:2

Lexi's ratio is 4:8 which also reduces to 1:2

Both people have the same ratio of vanilla to chocolate. What does this mean? It means that each person did twice as many chocolate compared to vanilla.
