3) y = - 2x + 4

4) y = 5x - 4

Slope intercept form formula: y = m x + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept

3)

Find the slope.

(2,0) & (0,4)

slope: y2-y1/x2-x1 ---> 4-0/0-2

Simplify

4-0/0-2 = 4/-2 = -2

m = -2

Find the y-intercept:

the point the sits on the y axis is, (0,4) so, b = 4

Now put it all together in the formula.

y = - 2x + 4

4)

Find the slope.

(4,1) & (0,-4)

slope: y2-y1/x2-x1 ---> -4-1/0-1

Simplify

-4-1/0-1 = -5/-1 = 5

m = 5

Find the y-intercept:

the point the sits on the y axis is, (0,-4) so, b = -4

Now put it all together in the formula.

y = 5x - 4

Hope this helps!
