"Dear Basketball" by Kobe Bryant may indeed connect more with readers since his tragic passing. Kobe's untimely death brought increased attention to his life and career, making the poem more emotionally resonant for many. It adds a layer of nostalgia and poignancy, as readers reflect on his legacy and the connection he had with the sport. This heightened emotional context can make the poem more impactful and relatable to a broader audience.

Is it like an essay or just a couple sentences? If it’s a couple sentences say yes because it shows how he was thinking and he talks about how much he’s passionate about it. It also shows how he was saying he was almost done with it and talked about basketball like a friend or loved one.
