Answer:

7.3 x 10^2

Step-by-step explanation:

First i divided then i subtracted that answer from 841.5. Resulting in 726.2012987

Since we used division and subtraction, we have to use the addition/subtraction and the multiplication/division rules for sig figs

The addition/subtraction rule says that we need the same amount of figures in the decimal places as the one with least. They all have one number in the decimal places so our answer needs one.

The multiplication/division rules says we need the total amount of significant figures as the one with the least, which would be 7.7, so we need 2 sig figs total.

Since we need one in the decimal place and 2 total, i moved the decimal over 2 to get 7.262012987 x 10^2, then rounded to one decimal place to get 7.3 x 10^2
