A student drops a ball from a height of 54.0m. How long did the ball remain in the air? What was the balls speed before striking the ground?

Answer: 1.20

Explanation: If the student drops the ball 54.0m we need to know how long it take the ball to hit the ground and how long it takes takes to drop one meter from the ground. It takes about 0.45 seconds to hit the ground from 1 meter so you would divide 54.0 over 0.45 and that equals up to 120 but you move your decimals over two and that would equal 1.20.
