Jay and steve set a goal to each get exactly 68 hours of sleep per week on the first day the each got exactly 10 % of the total number hours of sleep and 20% of the total on the second day.

Jay said to steve ,I know that i can find 10% of the total hours we set our goal to by dividing 68 by 10%, Steve said to jay that makes it easy for me to find 20% of the total number of hours we set our goal i can just divide by 20%

Answer:

. Steve's strategy of dividing 68 by 20% won't give him the correct number of hours they slept on the second day. Dividing by 20% is the same as multiplying by 5, so he would actually get 5 times the number of hours they slept on the second day. Steve needs to divide by 20 rather than 20% to get the correct number of hours.
