Arianna. [Breaking into tears.] I don’t understand. The test was hard, but I thought I did well. I answered all the questions. I didn’t have any trouble finishing on time.

Father. [With determination.] We’ll get to the bottom of this.
[Father stands, marches over to the phone, and picks it up. He dials, listens intently for a few moments, presses a button occasionally as though going through a menu, and finally hangs up.]
