8. s(-2) = 3, s(0) = 2, s(4) = 0

Look at the table for each of the values of x in s(x) and see what the y-value is. For example, for s(-2) you look at what y is when x = -2. It would be y = 3.

9. when x = -4, so s(-4)

Look through the table to find the row where y = 4. x would be -4.

10. -1

You can see that each time x goes up by 2, y goes down by 1. This means that the next row would say x = 6 and y = -1. The predicted value of s(x) is -1.
