The nth term is n/(9-n) and there are 8 terms in the given sequence

=============

The given sequence is:

  • 1/8, 2/7, 3/6, 4/5

We observe that the numerator starts from 1 and increases by 1 at each step, while the denominator starts from 8 and decreases by 1 at each step. Therefore, the nth term can be written as:

  • aₙ = n/(9-n)

It is obvious the 9th term is going to be 9/0 which is not possible hence it has 8 terms.
