Answer:

The answer is 50.2cm²

Explanation:

Area of the whole circle (the whole shape)

A= πr²

A= 3.14 x (5cm)²

A= 3.14 x 25cm

A= 78.5cm²

Area of the part in the middle (non-shaded part)

A= πr²

A= 3.14 x (3cm)²

A= 3.14 x 9cm

A= 28.26cm²

78.5cm² - 28.26cm² = 50.24cm²

Answer rounded to the nearest tenth: 50.2cm²

Hope this helps :)
