there is a snowstorm in a certain town. in 1/2 hour, 3 in of snow falls. it continues at the same rate fir a total of 5 hours. how much snow will fall during that 5 hour period?

30 inches

Explanation:

To find how much snow fall in an hour, multiply both side by two ( 2 one halfs in one whole) so 2x 1/2=1 hour and 2x3=6 inches. Now you have the rate per hour, which is 6 in every hour. So to find how much snow fell in 5 hours, simply multiply 5x6 to get 30 inches of snow.
