Very confused on this, could someone please help? I’m currently in pre calculus if-example-1

  • tan x<0 lies in second quadrant

sec x =3/4

  • cosX=1/secx=4/3


\\ \tt\Rrightarrow sin x=√(1-(4/3)^2)=√(1-16/9)=√(-7/9)=√7/3i[/tex]

Now

  • tanx=(√7/3i)(4/3)=√7/4i
