2f + 5r = 295 Equation1

4f + 2r = 230 Equation2

multiply Equation1 by -2

-2(2f + 5r = 295 )

-4f -10r = -590 Equation3

Add Equations 2 & 3

4f + 2r = 230

-4f -10r = -590

r = 45

substitute r = 45 to any of the equations

I use 2f + 5r = 295

2f + 5(45) = 295

2f + 225 = 295
