Answer:

1/8

Explanation:

There are 6 * 6 * 6 = 216 potential results when you throw three dice. There are 3 * 3 * 2 = 18 methods for getting three even numbers.

Answer:

The probability of rolling 3 dice and getting even on all 3 is 1/8.

Explanation:

Independent events - - - what you roll on one die has nothing to do with what you roll on the next die.

There are 6 sides to a single die - - -

1

2 - EVEN

3

4 - EVEN

5

6 - EVEN

So 3/6 are even.

We just multiply (3/6) times itself 3x to represent 3 fair dice.

(3/6)(3/6)(3/6) = 27/216

Divide top & bottom by 27 to simplify:

=1/8

Another way to solve this is to say that you have a 50% chance (1/2) of getting an even number.

(1/2)(1/2)(1/2) = 1/8

The probability of rolling 3 dice and getting even on all 3 is 1/8.
