chromatin- interphase and telephase
Chromosomes- prophase, metaphase, and anaphase.

During interphase chromatin is in its least condensed state and appears loosely distributed throughout a nucleus. Chromatin condensation begins during prophase and chromosomes become visible. chromosomes remain condensed through the various stages of mitosis.
