Should the government be able to restrict ideas shared between people (at least five sentences)?

No, the government shouldn’t restrict the ideas shared between people because they have a right to think for their own. People should be able to fully think for themselves without the government forcing them to think a certain way. The government could showcase different ideas but let the people also decide for themselves what they think about the situation. We can take news stations for example, if the government restricts the people’s abilities to watch different news channels with different opinions, not only is that a violation of the right to freedom of press, it subjects people into believing in only one idea, instead of letting them come up with different ones.
