If one tectonic place slide over the another plate, then earth quake occurs in that region. this is because of Convergent movement which refers to the colliding movement of surfaces. When a continental plate comes in contact with an oceanic plate, the denser, and more flexible oceanic plate comes under the thicker, more rigid continental plate. With the passage of time these plates slide on one another and movement occurs which leads to earth quake. Based on the evidence I concluded that the pattern of volcanic activity and earthquakes on the Jalisco Block is due to Convergent movement.
