An isosceles triangle has base angles that each measure 48°. Which equation can be used to find x, the measure of the third angle of this isosceles triangle in degrees?

It would be 48+48+x=180, since 3 angles in any triangle will always measure 180, by definition of a triangle. I guess you could also do 2(48)+x=180, but the first equation just makes it more intuitive I guess. The reason why this works is because since 3 angles must equal 180, the missing angle, x, must be the value of 180-48-48, since that would be the remaining value needed to make a triangle
